Love for "Filefield sources" Drupal module

Every once in a while you stumble upon a relatively unknown module that really scratches an itch.

A module like that I came across a while ago is Filefield sources:

"
FileField Sources is an extension to the FileField module. The FileField module lets you upload files from your computer through a CCK field. The FileField Sources module expands on this ability by allowing you to select new or existing files through additional means....
"

We got the same requests from several customers: they wanted a image-gallery to choose from, or upload an image directly that will end up in the image-gallery.

I'm not a big fan of richt text / WYSIWYG editors, because content managers screw up your lovely design and HTML most of the times. Ánd causes unnessecary helpdesk calls, because content managers with no technical knowledge 'can't get the text well ligned out anymore'.

So to add images to text: we most of the time offer an 'imagefield' for content managers.
And with help of module imagecache API we scale it automatically and the Drupal theme will render it in the correct and defined layout.
That way you always have consistent layouts in your website and easy content management.

But: imagefield doesn't provide a image-gallery, so you can't pick images you uploaded before. Module 'filefield sources' bridges that gap!
It ads an extra option to the imagefield: 'File browser'; where you can choose (with help of IMCE module) an image you uploaded before. How welcome!
