If you are developing a Drupal websystem, that involves lot's of users that are administering nodes (articles) then maybe it's nice to create a clean 'edit-url'. It's not really neccesary, but gives a nice URL eye candy.

Ever wanted to show your customers only the menu items in the Admin menu you want them to see? That is possible.
Drupal has a magnificent access control system, where you can cleanly build a sophisticated user access management system. But Drupal out of the box has some 'thoughts' of it's own concerning configuring of some access restrictions. Some of the access restrictons are bundled. So if you give access to a certain admin-area, it is possible you also provide 'bundled' access to another area.

Kleine browsers willen meer aandacht

Eurocommissaris Neelie Kroes heeft van 6 van de 7 kleine internetbrowsers een petitie ontvangen. De browsers zijn niet direct te zien op het openingsscherm waarbij de computergebruiker kan kiezen uit diverse browsers. Sinds 1 maart moet Microsoft aan Windows gebruikers in de EU naast IE (Internet Explorer) ook een keuze uit andere browsers bieden.

Efficiënter omgaan met Google Alerts

De meeste mensen gebruiken Google Alerts op een eenvoudige manier, namelijk om op de hoogte te blijven van nieuws op basis van een aantal trefwoorden. Op die manier komt er een grote hoeveelheid aan e-mailberichten je e-mailbox binnen. Om meer overzicht te krijgen in de brij aan berichten heeft Google AlertRank geïntroduceerd.
